Sustainability Statement

We are accountable for the impact of our business. In respect of our environmental responsibility, we have put together a team to implement and monitor responsible practices throughout the company and, specifically, throughout the property investment lifecycle for the assets in our funds.

Lothbury Property Trust’s active portfolio is an area where we can make significant environmental improvements through our working practices. The Fund currently aims to achieve a minimum BREEAM Sustainability rating of Very Good on all new developments. We can achieve this by incorporating sustainable design features and working with preferred supply-chain partners, who are also committed to sustainability, to select materials and manage waste on site. Our vision is to raise the benchmark for our development portfolio to Excellent BREEAM Sustainability ratings. Our development at 55 St. James’s Street, London was the first building to deliver this rating and in April 2018 we achieved an Excellent BREEAM rating for our 40,000 sq ft industrial development at Greenford.  Please click here for case studies on these projects. Once buildings are operational, we actively promote environmental awareness among tenants, through a stakeholder engagement programme. We will also invite tenants to take part in post-occupancy surveys, so we can closely monitor their building’s performance and will investigate BREEAM in use ratings for these buildings as appropriate.

In addition, we are implementing targets to audit and improve the environmental performance of our existing core portfolio of properties. These will cover energy use and the resultant CO2 emissions, water use, waste management and recycling. As part of this review, we are assessing the portfolio for opportunities to install solar panels, to boost the amount of energy provided by renewable sources. Furthermore, we subject the environmental performance of potential new properties to a pre-acquisition check list, which helps us determine the suitability of an asset for the core portfolio.

Lothbury Investment Management Limited is the manager of the Lothbury Property Trust ("LPT") and the Lothbury Global Feeder LP ("LGF") (together, the “Funds”). LPT is a sub-fund of the Lothbury Global Institutional Funds, which is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. LGF was established as a limited partnership in Jersey under the Limited Partnerships (Jersey) Law 1994 through the filing of a declaration of limited partnership. The Funds are alternative investment funds (“AIFs”) for the purposes of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (2011/61/EU) (the “Directive”). LIM has been appointed and acts as alternative investment fund manager (“AIFM”) in respect of the AIFs. For these purposes, LIM is authorised and regulated in the United Kingdom by the Financial Conduct Authority for the purposes of managing unauthorised AIFs (and for various other activities). The Funds are also unregulated collective investment schemes for the purposes of the United Kingdom Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (the “Act”).
